Alyssa Mathers Performance Horses is run by FEI Showjumping rider Alyssa at Jaspers Brush via Berry, NSW.
Alyssa is an experienced & successful showjumping trainer and rider. She trains and competes from Introductory to World Cup Qualifiers and National level competitions.
Selected for numerous Team Squads, she has competed most recently as a member of the NSW Senior Squad, and the National Futures squad in both 2013 and 2014 with Moon Print, bred at Jaspers Brush and trained through to Grand Prix classes.
Other accolades include the 2000 National Young Rider Team and also the Senior Development Squad with previous World Cup mount Oakwood.
All horses Alyssa has competed have been started and trained by her. From breaking in & green uneducated horses to top level competition. Alyssa is able to draw from her extensive experience of training many different warmbloods and thoroughbreds, some of which have been sold to Olympians such as Jamie & Sue Coman & Julia Hargraves. Her horses have also been sold to compete in the youth Olympics and she has produced many great eventers.
Alyssa has been trained by some of the best coaches both in Australia and overseas, such as Greg Best, Franke Sloothaak, George Morris, Gilbert Bockmann, Yves Houtackers, Alexa Bell, Jamie Coman and dressage trainers Maurice & Jane Bruce, from which Alyssa now has a excellent understanding of dressage principals and instills them into her work.
As an EA/NCAS level 1 general coach and a member of the paid pony club instructors panel, Alyssa is available for clinics in NSW and private tuition at Japsers Brush on their purpose built jumping arena. She enjoys teaching and was named as VET Trainer/Teacher of the year 2013 (Central and Northern Sydney).
