Andrea Quarrell, working towards her qualification as a qualified fitter through Society of Master Saddlers in the UK.

Inspired to become and Saddle fitter and is Passionate about helping others. Having a horse that was hard to find the right saddle for has created a journey for Andrea to making a happy rider and happy horse and getting horse owners out there riding and enjoying our horses.

Tara’s interest in Equitation Science, Rider and Horse Biomechanics and the importance of correct saddle fit to ensure horses perform at their best, has lead her on the journey to become a saddle fitter. Heading overseas in June 2022 with the rest of the team she trained with some of our Italian and English manufacturers and successfully completed her Society of Master Saddlers flocking course and exams.  Tara continues to work under guidance and mentorship of Paula Jeffery, founder of Performance Saddlefits, with the aim to become a SMS qualified saddle fitter. She is looking forward to assisting and educating horse owners from all disciplines to find a saddle solution for both the horse and rider.

TAS

Tasmania

Gaylene Padman graduated from the British Columbia College of Equine Massage Therapy, Canada, in 2000, and has been massaging horses in Tasmania since 2006. She grew up trail riding at a young age in the Canadian Rockies, learned how to pack horses, then guiding up to 8 day pack trips, and managed a dressage training center for 4 years. Once moving to Tasmania, she joined Tasmanian Mountain Cattlemen's, High Country Trail Riding, adult riding club, trail riding, and enjoyed endurance for several years as well.

She currently competes in the National Cowboy Challenge Association (NCCA) with her 16 yo Shire x Standardbred mare, Kelsey, and was been invited to Equitana last year to compete in the NCCA Open Showcase. She also competes in reining (TasRHA} and is introducing her 11 yo OTTB gelding, Freddy, to the discipline.

Gaylene is excited to add saddle fitting to her career in the health and welfare of horses and is working towards her Society of Master Saddlers Qualification under the mentorship of Paula Jeffery. Her 25 years experience as an equine massage therapist has given her an understanding of the importance of a well fitting saddle and she has a passion for keeping horses healthy, comfortable and performing at their very best.

Lyn is a Society of Master Saddlers UK qualified saddle fitter who has retired from full time fitting.

Lyn was previously the Performance Saddlefits SA saddle fitter, retiring in 2019, and now dedicates her time to research on saddle fit and saddle fit related products. In October, 2020 Lyn became manager of the online store which specialises in products that have purpose and specific function to assist with minor saddle fit issues. Lyn has a raft of knowledge on saddle fit, anatomy and biomechanics and holds 2 saddle fitting qualifications and thus is able to give horse owners sound advice on their needs.
